Glass perfume bottle can be finished by one of two different processes, which two processes?
1. Blow molding process.
2. Pressure blowing process.
Each process is selected according to the type of glass perfume bottle being manufactured. Different shapes require different processes. In order to have the same shape as the final glass perfume bottle, one of the two processes is generally required.
First, press and blow molding processes are carried out.
The pressure blowing process is the most commonly used method in the manufacture of glass perfume bottle.
Secondly, the blow molding process
The blow molding process is used to make narrow containers. It also requires a machine that gravity-feeds slugs of molten glass into molds.
Once the bottle is fully formed, it is removed from the mold and transferred to an annealing furnace. The annealing furnace then reheats the bottle to about 1050°C and then gradually cools to about 390°C. This process allows the glass to cool at an even rate.
