The Tour to Beijing with My Mom

Chally Sunny Glassware 2019-10-26 12:40:57
During the National Day, I accompanied my mother to the heart of the motherland she dreamed of, Beijing. She is almost 60 years old, but she is excited like a child along the way.
Beijing Olympic Games
On the first day, we got up very early and went to Tiananmen Square to see the flag-raising ceremony. It was a very solemn moment. Then we passed through the ancient and sacred Tiananmen Gate, and entered the huge and exquisite large palace - the Forbidden City (nick name:The Imperial Palace). Built in the Ming Dynasty, the Forbidden City is the residence of the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The roofs peak rising one after another, It is full of precious cultural relic and looks very magnificent. With the explanations of the tour guides, it seems to have returned to the era of China’s late Qing Dynasty 100 years ago, and have the feeling of cherish the important cultural relics.

The next day, we climbed the most famous “miracle” in the world--The Great Wall. Chairman Mao once said: It is not a hero who fails to reach the Great Wall. I took my fat mother going up and we climbed up slowly. Although I was exhausted, I felt very good at the top of the mountain. Then we went to the Ming Tombs, which was the place where the emperors of the Ming Dynasty buried. After playing in Beihai Park, we finally went to the National Olympic Park, the main venue of the Beijing Olympic Games. The Bird's Nest and the Water Cube, which were once only seen on TV, are really in front of me. They are small on TV but the reality is particularly large and it is incredible. The wisdom of the Chinese people is endless.

Summer Palace
On the third day, we visited and played in a very large Qing Dynasty Royal Forest Park - the Summer Palace, the Summer Palace is really big, the lakes and mountains, the simplicity and elegance left us a deep impression. On the way to another place, we passed by the famous Chinese university of higher education--Peking University. Then we were going to the antique Prince Gong’s Mansion, Prince Gong’s Mansion was the residence of HeShen, who was the important minister of Emperor Kangxi. The Gong’s Mansion has experienced the historical process of the Qing Dynasty from the peak to the decline, it carried a wealth of historical and cultural information. So usually says: A Mansion Gong, half of the history of the Qing Dynasty.

On the fourth day, we went to the National Museum of China to witness the whole process of China's establishment from the old slave society to the founding of New China. It was a profound historical education and warned us to cherish the good life of today. At last, we went to various shopping streets and shopping malls and finally lost our heart (and money) in them.
We are going home on the fifth day. We have been particularly fulfilled these days and we are very happy.
The Tour to Beijing with My Mom
This is my first time traveling with my family. I understand that as parents get older, there are fewer and fewer opportunities for us to accompany them. There is a Chinese saying: You shouldn’t go too far away when your parents are still here. However, we have left our hometown since we went to college and came to work in an unfamiliar city. I have a elder sister, she had few chances to go home and see our parents after her marriage. So I often push my sister to take time staying with my parents during busy work, so that my parents have a warm and not lonely old age.To all the parents in the world: When you were young, you took us to see the world. When you getting old, we will accompany you to see the world!
