There are various of crafts processes for glassware, the molding methods include blown (such as machine blown and hand-mouth blown), machine pressed, centrifugal rotation, firing and other processes etc.
Machine Pressed
The process of extrusion molding the glass material through the inside mould into the outer mold call machine blown. The gap between the two mold affect the product’s thickness, and the mold is controlled by air pressure, if the pressure is too large may reduce the gap between top and bottom, bottom to make products thinner. Conversely, if the pressure is too small may lead to opposite effects. Usually the straight cup are used machine pressed molding method.
Blown
Blown glassware were made by blowing air pressure, so the product shape depends on the strength of pressure, too much pressure may cause thin bottom and thick mouth, however if the pressure is too small, the mouth may be too thin or simply blow less, but the lack of a mouth. If the product is high and the wall needs thin, it is generally used blow molding method, and this product is in the middle of the thinnest, so the middle and break. Usually blown products are glass bottles, glass jars etc.
